The room fights you. Dirac corrects over a wider window than Audyssey and generally produces a more even result in awkward spaces, and here it is included rather than an upgrade.
In a difficult room, genuinely yes. Room correction does more for perceived sound quality than almost any component upgrade, and Dirac is the strongest implementation commonly available.
